The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is a great way for you to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! The course may be used for you to obtain the certification for your concealed carry permit in some states. Be sure to contact your county, city, or state to find out whether this course fulfills the requirement.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long will it take to complete the course?  The course includes 11 lessons and takes  approximately 8 hours to complete.
  • Can I take this Instructor Led Training if I am pregnant? Pregnant women and nursing mothers are encouraged to discuss their participation in the blended learning instructor led training of this course with their physicians prior to the first lesson. They should discuss the effects of exposure to loud sounds and (if using an indoor range) airborne lead particulate. If any students are pregnant or nursing an infant, they should not handle any chemicals, lubricants, or solvents unless they have discussed doing so with their physician.
